1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) March 2026
Full time; term time only.
Working hours 0800 – 1630

West Hill Park School is seeking to employ a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and caring Learning Support department known as The Beehive, to support a bright Year 4 pupil with ADHD and social, emotional, and communication needs.
This role combines academic support, emotional regulation, and social development, requiring a calm, flexible, and nurturing approach.
The post will commence as soon as possible.

Our ideal candidate will have:
- Qualifications to a minimum Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children with ADHD and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice.
- Ability to build trusting, consistent relationships with pupils.
- Skilled in differentiation and scaffolded learning support.
- Good communication skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD)
- Experience supporting twice-exceptional learners (high ability + additional needs)
- Training in emotion coaching or therapeutic approaches
