Forces Families

West Hill Park has a proud tradition of supporting children from Forces Families.

Our convenient location, close to Portsmouth, Andover, Aldershot, Odiham, and Marchwood, makes us an ideal choice for families seeking a high-quality independent education. We are proud to have a vibrant boarding community with strong military connections.

We accept the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) and offer a 25% discount to military boarders. Many of our families are based overseas and find West Hill Park to be a reassuring and nurturing environment during UK postings.

As a prep school, we specialise in boarding for children under the age of 13 and welcome boarders from Year 3. This creates a unique and supportive dynamic within our boarding house, where older pupils naturally adopt a ‘big brother’ or ‘big sister’ role, often seen reading with or helping younger boarders.

Our small size allows us to foster a close-knit, family-oriented community that offers consistent care and encouragement, particularly for children whose parents are deployed or living far from home.

We also have a daily bus service to school from Southsea and Port Solent for day pupils.

CEA From 2026

West Hill Park is proud to support the families and children of those serving in the British Armed Forces.

From September 2026, families of children aged 7-13 who are in receipt of CEA and whose children board at our prep schools, will only pay 10% of the fees as part of our commitment to provide stability, exceptional education, and a supportive community for those in the military.

Please email fees@radleyschoolsgroup.org.uk using your military email address with your rank and posting to confirm eligibility.

You can find out more about whether you could be eligible for CEA by visiting the UK EAT website. You can also in many cases use Childcare Vouchers to support with payment for Boarding School fees.
