Co-Curricular & Pastoral Care

We know that children learn best when they feel happy, safe, and supported.

Strong Pastoral Care

Each pupil has a form tutor who acts as the first point of contact for both academic and pastoral matters. Relationships are at the heart of life at West Hill Park, both between staff and pupils, and among peers. Through our PSHE programme, wellbeing initiatives, and clear values of kindness and respect, we create a community where every child can thrive.

An Unrivalled Co-Curricular Programme

Our Prep pupils are encouraged to find and follow their passions – both inside and outside the classroom. From music ensembles and drama productions to coding clubs, horse riding, debating, and outdoor pursuits, the breadth of opportunity is exceptional.

Our sports programme is equally inclusive and ambitious, with pupils representing the school in regular fixtures and developing skills in a wide range of disciplines including rugby, hockey, cricket, netball, swimming and athletics.

Outdoor Education

Outdoor learning remains a hallmark of a West Hill Park education. Building on the early years of Forest School, our Outdoor Education programme evolves through the Prep years, developing teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

As pupils move up the school, they take part in expeditions, adventure days, and survival skills training, culminating in our renowned Summer Expeditions. These challenges encourage independence and give our pupils a true sense of achievement and adventure.
